Guru Shishya Project

One of the prime objectives of BTF is to upskill the new generation engineers. In this endeavor, Guru-Shishya is modeled to enable knowledge and skills direct to the seekers from the domain experts. Naturally the major stakeholders are the Gurus and the Shishyas.

The interactions between the Guru (mentor) and Shishya (mentee) should naturally pave the way

  • for a better understanding of the subject,
  • upliftment of the skills of the seekers
  • improve the leadership skills
  • entrepreneurial exposure

Who can be a Shishya (Mentee)

  • Any engineering student across the country
  • Faculty seeking expert guidance
  • PG / PhD Engineering Students
  • Any other members

Who can be a Guru (Mentor)

  • Anyone who can impart knowledge and guidance
  • Can be from academic institutions – for subject wise clarifications
  • Can be from industries – practical experiences sharing
  • Technocrats – Leaders
  • Entrepreneurs
  • Retired hands

Become a Mentor

Embark on a transformative journey by becoming a mentor – As a mentor, you wield the power to ignite potential, sharing the wisdom gained through your own experiences. This journey is about more than passing on knowledge; it’s about becoming the spark that lights the way for others.

The Process

Guru’s can in advance provide their availability schedule on the website. Looking at the profile of the Guru’s, the Shishya’s can seek their time. Once mutually agreed, at the predetermined time slot the knowledge / skill transfer takes place.

List of the Guru’s will be available in the website and their specialization / expertise area will also be visible, based on which the Shishya can proceed.

In addition, a Guru can also schedule a lecture session and post on the website. This will be under the upcoming sessions list and the mentees can book the same in advance

The following are to be in highlighted boxes at different places….

  1. Engineers come and educate yourselves from experts in various domains.
  2. Are you a retired professor or lecturer, use your time productively by continuing your knowledge sharing with the yearning students.
