Focus Area
Aatmanirbhar Bharat – “Self-Reliant Bharat” is a vision that needs research as one of the most important platforms. Apart from the Govt of India companies, other industries including those under MSME play a very crucial role in India’s economy. These are all potential job providers and are important for the sustained growth of India.
There are more than 1.5 million companies registered in India. There is huge potential for collaboration across diverse sectors and across government and private sector firms, especially in the Research and Development efforts of the country.
India is bestowed with huge potential in terms of human resources and knowledge, which is reflected from the successes we have achieved in some areas like Space research (Chandrayaan), Information Technologies (UPI, Aadhar). This kind of success is, however, not seen reflected in other sectors.
A crucial need for achieving such successes across domains is to involve players from across the fields and integrate the efforts through-out the value chain in all the functions. For example, research in manufacturing of metals should be accessible to all industries that use metal like automobile, construction, house hold utilities from OEMs till Tier 3 suppliers. Similarly, all players across the value chain should be encouraged and equipped to conduct research in their own capacities.
On the path to achieve a Technologically Aatmanirbhar Bharat, it is our responsibility to inculcate the R&D culture and develop the much-needed capabilities to become self-reliant in terms of developing new and innovative products and technologies.
Bharat Tech Foundation [BTF] intends to contribute towards developing that culture and play a vital role in creating the synergy across diverse fields and players across value chain.

Industries – Academia – R&D Institutions
This conclave is a very important program of BTF as one of the priorities of BTF is to foster a more vibrant and result oriented collaboration between Academia, R & D Institutions and Industries including MSME’s.
Collaboration between the R&D institutions, Academia and the industries, including the MSME’s is a crucial matter for the development of India.
